The Web3 marketing efforts struggle to reach these untapped audiences, and the complexities of Web3 onboarding pose additional barriers to adoption. This is often voiced by various Web3 content creators 👇️ 

Yoda Labs Approach and Strategy

Yoda Labs has always been committed to bring the next million gamers and grow the Web3 gaming space which is only possible by onboarding waves of traditional players.

In this quest, Yoda Labs has formed a network of about 100 Web2 traditional gamers and streamers from all over the world. Convincing these traditional players to dive into the realm of blockchain-based games has been a challenging journey. However, we're witnessing an exciting shift in the gaming landscape as the improvement trend in the quality of blockchain based games is capturing their attention and piquing their interest.

Therefore, upon advising the game to create an invisible player onboarding experience for gamers (no wallet, crypto or blockchain elements), Yoda Labs started a Web2 streamer campaign for a Web3 game with the scope of:

  • 4 Months duration

  • 4 digit $ marketing budget

  • 5 traditional streamers with followers from 50k to 2Mil gamers

Results

The results has been groundbreaking 👇️ 

The Facebook page of the game received +1.8 Million views

Google Play store page received 1.2 Million visits with almost 200k (%16) downloads

Thousands of constantly active players on a daily basis

Verdict

The challenges still exist for Web3 gaming however the key to growing the blockchain based gaming is very likely to be through the traditional gamers, streamers, content creators, invisible player onboarding experiences.
