Yoda: We’re joined today by Meals, Lead Community Manager for Phantom Galaxies. Meals currently oversees Community, Content and Player Support for Phantom Galaxies to make sure players have a great experience outside of the game itself!

Greetings, Meals! We're extremely excited to have you here and thank you for these access keys. I’m sure our community will love the opportunity.

Introducing Phantom Galaxies to our readers who haven't seen it yet is a priority for us.

First of all, what did inspire you to develop Phantom Galaxies and how long have you been developing it for? Also, could you tell us, how does it feel to be backed by an industry giant like Animoca Brands?

Phantom Galaxies: As a game, Phantom Galaxies was first announced at the end of 2021, although Blowfish Studios (our game development and publishing studio) has actually existed for over a decade! We pride ourselves on developing fun games first and that care, creativity, and genuine love for gaming can be found in all our titles.

It’s been great to be a part of the Animoca Brands family since our acquisition in 2021, as we transitioned into the web3 space. There are so many ambitious, intelligent minds working not just for Phantom Galaxies, but amongst the other subsidiaries as well, alongside the Animoca Brands team. Animoca Brands believes in our vision for Phantom Galaxies and we’re hard at work to make Phantom Galaxies the leading web3 game!

What I enjoy most about working on Phantom Galaxies is our commitment to putting community first. We have always had a close relationship with our community and have a dedicated in-house team to deliver information, support, and entertainment both inside and outside the game. It’s always great to work for a company that really understands the importance that players have within the feedback loop of a game.

So, what can the holders expect now in the near future for these NFTs? When would these NFTs be used in the game and how do they fit in the mechanics vs. those who play without NFTs?

Phantom Galaxies: Here at Phantom Galaxies, we always look for opportunities to give back to our earliest and most engaged supporters in different ways. A lot of the time that takes the form of airdrops. We often make new NFTs available as exclusive gifts to our holders (for example, our recent Phantom Catalysts which influence generative minting, or our POAPS for participating in our Beta). We always recommend holding onto our assets, because you never know what we may give out in the future!

Some of the NFTs you’ve listed above are from historical events like Astrafite Rush, so while they may not have any practical or in-game use right now, they’re also a permanent way for us to recognise the effort and support that our community has put into various aspects of the game. Some may even make an appearance as in-game trinkets and trophies!

Yoda: Great answer! In addition, we see that you still have the Genesis mint going on. Could you tell us until when this mint will be available and what can the players expect from Genesis NFTs?

Phantom Galaxies: These NFT mintpasses are for our Avatars and Starfighters. We’re launching on Steam and Epic Games Store with an optional free-to-play model, but as soon as you want to start participating within certain parts of the in-game economy (such as upgrading your mech in a particular way), or customizing your experience with unique skins for your Avatars and Mechs, that’s when you’ll want to pick up some of our mintpasses!

The Base (free-to-play) Avatars will be generic and not unique. If you want an Avatar that reflects how you want to be perceived in game (with plush player quarters), or a collectible Starfighter that’s the talk of the town with unique or even rare qualities, our mintpasses are the way to go!

Yoda: Nice stuff. Last question. You know in the web3 space, there are mixed feelings about game tokens. Could you tell us about yours 👀

Phantom Galaxies: We actually already have a utility and governance token for Phantom Galaxies! It is called ASTRAFER. ASTRAFER will have some applications as part of the in-game economy, but there are also plans to use ASTRAFER holdings for community governance opportunities. Players can also purchase Planets, which can be used to generate ASTRAFER emissions in their separate companion game and help the economy go ‘round! Yoda: Let's gear up for some exciting gameplay. But before that, we would love to hear your final reflections. What message would you like to send to our readers?

Phantom Galaxies: We may be moving out of our Beta and launching into Early Access, but that’s just the beginning of our journey. We have an ambitious roadmap ahead of us and we are hungry to keep delivering a premium, AAA-quality gaming experience to our community. Get involved and give us your feedback because Phantom Galaxies is just getting bigger and better from here!

GamePlay

Phantom Galaxies takes players on an epic sci-fi adventure filled with thrilling mecha combat. The game offers a unique blend of third-person mech shooting and starship dogfights, making for exhilarating interstellar clashes.

One of the standout features of Phantom Galaxies is the ability to choose between four distinct Starfighter classes - the Assault, Lancer, Buster, and Breacher. Each class offers unique abilities and playstyles, allowing players to tailor their gameplay to their preferences. Combined with a diverse range of weapons and gear to equip, there are endless possibilities for creating the perfect loadout.

The game also provides players with the opportunity to customize their Avatar and Starfighter, allowing for personalization and a sense of ownership. As players level up, they can unlock new items and enhancements, further enhancing their gameplay experience.

In terms of exploration, Phantom Galaxies offers sprawling and picturesque galaxies to visit, as well as handcrafted planet-side locations. Players can unravel the history and lore of the Canis Major Galaxy, uncovering millennia-old secrets along the way.

With a variety of missions to complete, including a captivating main storyline, side quests filled with action and memorable characters, PvP multiplayer battles, and PvE multiplayer bounties, there is no shortage of content in PHANTOM GALAXIES. The game also incorporates RPG-style tech advancement, allowing players to level up and choose between paths of heroism and ruthlessness.

Overall, Phantom Galaxies delivers an immersive and thrilling sci-fi experience. The combination of mecha combat, exploration, customization, and diverse gameplay options make for an engaging and captivating game that will keep players entertained for hours on end.
