What inspired your leap to Web3? Tell us about the amazing team behind Ultimate Champions and what fueled your platform creation.

Ndalu Kamati: At Ultimate Champions, our vision to innovate in the gaming industry led us to Web3. Our experienced team, with a background in top-tier game development at Ubisoft, recognized the potential of blockchain to revolutionize player engagement and asset ownership.

The challenge in traditional gaming is the lack of real ownership of in-game assets. We saw an opportunity to change that with blockchain and NFTs, giving players true ownership and the ability to earn from their gaming investments.

Ultimate Champions is our promise to deliver a play-to-earn fantasy sports platform that is both accessible and authentic. We're started with fantasy football, offering officially licensed collectibles and a game that's free-to-play and rewarding. Our approach is player-first, ensuring an engaging, fair, and enjoyable experience.

Last year you had some ground breaking news with the Arsenal partnership with the below video released by the official Arsenal account. What was the motivation behind it and what benefits it got you?

Ndalu Kamati: The motivation behind this video we created with Arsenal was fueled by a desire to elevate brand visibility and demonstrate the distinct features of Ultimate Champions, particularly our sophisticated scoring system. The video showcased Arsenal players guessing their in-game statistics, providing a fun and relatable way to engage with fans and bring attention to the depth of our game’s analytics.

The playful banter and insights from players like Saliba, Xhaka, and Tomiyasu not only humanized statistics but also highlighted the comprehensive nature of our data points that go into every aspect of Ultimate Champions.

This partnership reaped benefits in terms of brand recognition, user engagement, and establishing credibility within the sports and gaming community. It resonated with fans and gamers alike, driving new user acquisition and strengthening loyalty among our existing base.

Yoda: Great answer! By the way, for our readers to understand the magnitude of the reach here, are you able to share any game stats?

Ndalu Kamati: Absolutely, our metrics speak to the robust community and active engagement we've cultivated. Since our launch, we've seen 349,000 accounts created on Ultimate Champions. Our Monthly Active Users (MAU) consistently range between 35,000 - 40,000 reflecting a strong and dedicated player base. These figures underscore not just the scale of our platform, but also the compelling nature of our game that keeps sports enthusiasts and gamers returning for the immersive experience we provide.

Yoda: Great Ndalu Kamati.  Also last year, there was a $4M investment by Binance Labs which we suspect that your tokens ($CHAMP and $MGC) will land on BNB. Would this be a correct statement and considering the evolution of the gaming tokens, are you still considering a dual token mechanism?

Ndalu Kamati: The investment from Binance Labs has indeed bolstered our platform's capabilities, particularly in terms of our token ecosystem. To clarify, our native token, $CHAMP, has been successfully integrated into the BNB Chain. It's available for purchase directly on our website as well as on selected exchanges, enhancing its accessibility and liquidity for our users.

As for the $MGC token, it remains an in-game currency exclusive to Ultimate Champions. Its purpose is to enrich the gaming experience within our ecosystem and it cannot be traded externally. This delineation ensures that $MGC serves as a utility token that drives in-game economy and player interactions.

Regarding the dual token mechanism, we embrace this strategy as it allows for clear differentiation: $CHAMP for broader economic engagement and $MGC for in-game utility and rewards. Our move to the BNB Chain in March this year signifies our transition into a multi-chain project, which stands as a testament to our adaptability and commitment to growth. Pre-March, our NFTs were minted on the Polygon Network, and now we continue our journey on the BNB Chain with new mintings, demonstrating our versatility and forward-thinking approach in the dynamic landscape of blockchain gaming.

Yoda Perfect. As gaming tokens are becoming very valuable and hyped these days, are you able to share any additional news? Should the users expect more listings and is there any tentative timeline🙂

Ndalu Kamati: All I can say is that so far our focus has been on UI/UX and and expanding the player base. Going forward, I can say that the health of the token and new exchanges (potentially in 2024 👀) is one of the top priorities for us.

Yoda: Before we get into the exciting gameplay, I have a highly anticipated question for you. We also see that you are partnering up with leagues latest being Slovakia. We want to ask your, what is the big picture here that you are after? Also, based on your tweet, we understand the Ultimate champion fans should expect more similar partnerships. Can you share any spoilers? 🤩

Ndalu Kamati: The collaborations with renowned leagues are a cornerstone of our expansion strategy. Our ultimate goal is to continuously enrich the Ultimate Champions gaming experience. By integrating a diverse array of leagues and clubs into our platform, we're not only broadening the scope of athlete cards available but also amplifying the strategic depth of gameplay. This gives our players more variety and more ways to assemble a winning team, thus enhancing the competitiveness and reward structure of the game.

As for upcoming partnerships, while I must keep the details under wraps for now, I can hint that we're gearing up to introduce a major club into the game – one that fans have been eagerly anticipating. This addition will open up new possibilities for team-building and gameplay, cementing Ultimate Champions' position as a premier fantasy sports platform.
